Games, Gardening, Art, ect.

Hi everyone!
Welcome to our blog. We have a lot of different subjects to cover this week, so let's get started.

Enjoy! :-)

Monopoly

A while ago, the guys in our family decided to play Monopoly. In the beginning of the game, we were all very cool and professional...

But soon a flurry of trading ensued as four different real estate companies struggle for dominance. Things were starting to get hot.

Warily we eyed each other's growing assets.

Soon, the long arm of Isaac's empire started reaching out to the four corners of the board.
More and more money started flowing into Isaac's empire.

The Big Cheese
As Isaac's empire grew, so did the emotional stress of his competitors.

Josiah's business started to fall into hard times...

... while Ben's business almost ceased to exist. That's right, at that moment Ben's total assets amounted to only two mortgaged properties. Better start turning off the lights...

Philip, unable to cope with the pressure anymore, finally cracked and had to be removed by security guards.
Ben, after wiggling his way out of many tight corners, finally met his end on The Boardwalk. $3,000 was just too much to slip out of.

The Rich Magnate
(See how modestly he smiles? He can afford to.)

Jonathan's Produce Patch

Jonathan is planning on doing produce farming this year. But when planting season arrived, Jonathan had just gotten out of the hospital and was in no shape to work. So the family stepped in and we all found another reason why large families are so cool. :-)

Country Girl

Karen passes the baton of gardening knowledge onto the next generation.

Photo Shoot

This picture has a story behind it. Dad had just taken a break from his studies and brought Jon over to check out the progress of the planting. While Dad was there, it was decided he needed some publicity pictures. So Dad, dress shoes and all, picked up some onions and started planting while the paparazzi clicked away. Sound familiar? ;-)

(BTW, Dad is an expert gardener who has been planting gardens since before I was born.)
Esther expertly places another onion in place... only a few hundred more to go.

Yes, all of the dirt you see is Jon's garden. Kind of big, huh?

Digging the rows.

Working in the sun sure makes you thirsty!

(We couldn't think up a caption for this picture, any ideas?)

Reflection

Flynn Family Masterpiece

In which we watch the skillfully executed, hilarious, "City On a Hill" play performed by the Flynn family. Halfway through the video our DVD player quit working on us. But of course, there was no way we could stop until we saw how the story ended, so out came my laptop and away we went.

Good times!

Art Time

An awesome picture by our very own, up and coming photographer, Philip. That boy has a good eye!

Great Aunt and Uncle's 50th Anniversary Party

The other week, my family attended the 50th anniversary party of some relatives of ours. I hardly knew any of the people there, but it still was a fun night. Oh, and the food was good too. :-)

Waiting for your food can be serious business...

Taking a walk with Uncle Jo.

Comparison time... again.

Let's try this again. While waiting for our food, Josiah and I each took pictures of our place setting. So which one is better? Or, are both of them no good? Or, are both awesome?

You be the judge.

Josiah

Benjamin
All right, enough comparisons! Let's get to the good stuff. :-)

Ice Cream Art

Just look at me hanging in the background like that. I really need to work on my social skills.

We don't like getting lost anymore then you do! ;-)

That's all for this week. Thanks for stopping by our blog!

Take care and God bless,
Benjamin and Josiah
