Thirty Years of Married Life

Hello everyone and welcome to our updated-every-once-in-a-while blog. :-)

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and accomplishing all those plans you made for this year. Life certainly has been busy for my family this year with produce farming, traveling, picnics, picture taking, blogging, computer building, and just life in general. I need to go look up the word "bored" in the dictionary because I'm having a hard time remembering the meaning of that word.

I know some of you have been asking for pictures from my family's recent New England trip, but I'm going to have to ask you to hang on for just a bit longer. Lord willing, we'll have them posted sometime next week. But for now, here are some pictures from the anniversary party my siblings and I put on for my wonderful parents who celebrated 30 years of marriage in June.

Enjoy...
Surprise!

Memories

"Have some ice cream?"

I sure would. With smiles like that, who wouldn't want ice cream?

Grandma helping her granddaughters through the food line.

You know you want some.
Greeting the guests...

... and more greeting of the guest.

Desperation

*groan* I'm trying to forget about this little incident. There's a long story behind this picture, but to put it briefly, we were desperately trying to finish a picture slide show about our mom and dad's life. The slide show was suppose to start in about 30 minutes and things were not going very well. As you might imagine, we were feeling the heat at that moment.

I'm glad to say we it was finished in time and was much enjoyed by all, but I don't ever want to cut something that close again!

Film Crew

Mr. Gordner, a dear family friend and brother in Christ. Our families go way back.

As the hour grows late, a certain little boy starts to fall apart.
Expert cleaner-uppers.

Start them young!

Josiah gets a hug from one of our very special aunts.

Balancing act or dance routine?

One night after playing volleyball, we decided to try out our balancing skills on a nearby fence. But upon reviewing the pictures later, we started to wonder if maybe we should have called it dancing instead... ;-)

Ben grooving to the tune of... tree frogs maybe??

Shad does his own little routine.
Left arm down... right arm up... left arm down... right arm up... left arm down...

The audience loves it.

As Shad gets warmed up, he starts to show us how it is really done.

The End

Well, that's all we have for now. Thanks for stopping by our blog and we hope you have a great week!

Take care and God bless,
Benjamin and Josiah E.
