Labor Day and such...

Hi everyone!
Welcome back to Life Through a Viewfinder. We hope you enjoy your visit. :-)

This week, we are posting a lot of pictures from our family's recent Labor Day picnic which was held at the Phero's house. As you will probably guess from our pictures, we had a great time! Well, we have got a lot to cover... Frisbee, card games, photo shoots, and even a press release! Let's get started...
Even babies sometimes have those awkward moments when they can't think what to say.

The joys of freedom...

The despair of captivity.

The fascination of swinging.
The card shark strikes again, this time in the high stakes game of Apples to Apples.

Jon contemplates the meaning of his card.

"I totally got this game!"

Indecision
A fellow photographer.

Apparently the festivities are a bit much for Aaron.

"What are you doing..."

Taking pictures of food? Obviously having a camera has gone to their heads.
"Aaron, who is your favorite uncle??"

"Josiah!"
Stealth

Our wonderful sister Abigail. Thank God for sisters!

Encouragement

Hmm... Aaron seems more interested in my shirt then my wrestling lesson. Oh well, I guess he still has time before he needs to get serious about such subjects. :-)

Portrait 2

Our awesome cousin, Sharon.

Our cousin Katie.

As you might have noticed, I let Katie use my camera during the Labor Day picnic and she certainly made good use of it. Thanks for helping out with the picture taking, Katie!
"Nice porch you have here."

"Thank you, I think so too."

[awkward silence]

"So... how do you like the view from this porch?"

"Forget the view, this plant is the most interesting thing on my radar right now."
Yes, we are starting to run a little low on ideas. ;-)

"Haven't you guys run out of things to photograph yet?"

"We are starting to... just one more... Click!"
And now... you know you wanted to see this...
The Worst Picture of the Week

"Wow, I can't believe they just posted that picture, it's terrible!"

A picture. ;-)

Enough solemn pictures, let's show some joy!

Press Release

Coming soon to a store not near you... The much unanticipated album:

"The Obsession"

Nashville, Tennessee - September 15, 2007 - Today, a very unknown band announced the upcoming release of their new CD, "The Obsession". Band member Ben (guitar, vocals, etc.), while doing publicity work at local gas station, said "Many have wondered about the story behind this CD. It all happened rather suddenly one afternoon while we were doing a portrait photo shoot and someone suggested that we try posing for the classic band picture. The picture came out so well we figure that if we can create an album cover like that, we should easily be able to produce the music to go inside the album. And so the band was formed. We came up with the name, "The Obsession" when band member Katie (piano, vocals, etc.) offhandedly applied that phrase to our photography hobby. A little dramatic maybe, but the name stuck. We are still working on the genre, lyrics, music, and purpose of the band. We welcome any input our future fans might have." With such an interesting start, this band's future should be interesting to watch!

Ready to play some Frisbee?

Coming at you...

Smooth... Smooth! ;-)

Easy!

Got to start them young!

Getting the Frisbee out of the garden... "Oops, I hope Sarah didn't see that!" ;-)

"I want to see you catch this one..."

"I got this, I got this!"
"Nothing shall get by me!"

So close... yet so far.

"I mean, after this one none will get by me..."

Almost!

Longing

Noooo!! The dangers of Frisbee.

"Look buddy, this is no place for photographers! The way you guys are always looking through that viewfinder you would never even know what hit you! Yes, very unwise... very unwise indeed."

Backup

Two cousins battle it out.
