Saturday in Massachusetts

Hi everyone!
Welcome back for the second installment of our family's trip to Massachusetts. On Saturday, our family, along with Thomases, Fourniers, Flynns, and Kaisers went on a sightseeing trip to Lexington and Concord - the area where the American War for Independence started. And what a day it was! Between roasting in the sun, getting soaked in the rain, seeing a lot of interesting locations, and enjoying wonderful Christian fellowship with good friends, it was a day to remember.

In the evening, the Flynns came over to the Thomas family's house for supper and the good times continued as we talked, debated important subjects, ate great food, and played music together.

Now onto the pictures... Enjoy.

God bless,
Ben and Josiah
It is always good to stay with a patriotic family.

Uhh... a wrench and a van?

Seeing that Melanie already had enough supervisors, we decided to just snap the picture and move on. :-)
Two mighty warriors locked in deadly struggle.

Matthew Thomas - Master of the Fight Ring.
"Who's next?"
Melissa, the dedicated student of Early American history, attempts to teach some important facts about Lexington and Concord to her class....

"Now class, stop taking pictures and pay attention. Yes, there will be a test."

Michael Thomas, world famous safari photographer, sees the picture that could change his life... Will he get the shot?

I believe this picture speaks for itself.

Tenderness
The road to the Old North Bridge. A far more peaceful place now than on April 19, 1775.

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,

Here once the embattled farmers stood

And fired the shot heard round the world
."

No, we aren't a school group, just part of the official "Thomas Family & Friends" tour group. :-)

What a neat garden!

The New and The Old.

Sometimes it's easy to forget that the people back in 1775 were people just like us who experienced many of the same trials, struggles, joys, and fears we experience today. What will future generations think of us when they look at the lives we have lived?

Yee Haw!

Mr. Thomas - the rhythm machine.

How did we live before there were digital cameras?

If you don't feel the music you are playing, what is the point in playing it? ;-)
