Thanks for the compliment, Carmen. I'm pleased with how "Simple Beauty" came out. Unfortunately, I had to tear the poor flower out of the ground to get the picture, so it's a good thing it wasn't Earth Day that day. ;-)
On second thought, if I hadn't taken the picture, that flower would have soon died anyway and its beauty been lost forever. But now, its beauty has been recorded for posterity. (Hmmm... I wonder if I'm getting too philosophical about life?)
I really like this sequence Ben! The pictures and captions flow very well.
Benjamin!!! You ruthlessly plucked a poor innocent flower from it's home to satisfy your selfish desire for art!? I am ashamed to be your brother! If I had only known the blood of a plant was on this picture I would never have aided and abetted this terrible deed by editing the picture!
Come on, Josiah. You aren't turning enviromentalist are you? I agree with Ben's second thoughts: Imagine how privileged this flower was to be noticed and captured in time! Not every flower makes it to this blog. :-)
If you would like to print any of the pictures on this blog I would be happy to send you a full rez edited image file for your use. Please click on the picture you would like and copy the address at the top of your browser, then just send the link to the3dmodeler (at) dejazzd (dot) com and I will try to get you your image file ASAP!

The flower in "Simple Beauty" was captured to perfection! I thought the backround was a bit messy, but the drab elegance of the flower is amazing.
Excellent pics, Ben!

~A saddened and disillusioned brother.
