While the rest of us play with his cameras!

The Manheim Farm Show

The young ladies study a high-tech embroidery device.

Meanwhile the guys discuss whether or not you could install Linux on it (we kid you not).

A serious discussion on the art of motorcycles ensues.

Dale and Josiah attempt to understand the fine art of coloring. It's been a while... ;-)

Photography! Now here is something we understand!
"Wait, do I smell..."

Sadness

What is this? Another potential album cover?
(Except in this case we actually do play music together.)

One Dark and Stormy Night...

A shadowy figure can be see creeping along the streets of a small town somewhere on the East Coast...

Suspicious characters loiter in the shadows as bits of trash blow down the deserted streets.

Most honest folks don't dare venture out on a night like this...

That is, except for one naive soul who seems completely oblivious to the danger he is in... "Got water?"

The shadowy figure stops as he spots the man drinking water in the pale light of the street lamps. His eyes narrow as he stealthily reaches under his long overcoat. He starts moving toward his victim, but he sees something which causes him to pause... What is it?

The Guardians of Justice!
"Now listen up everyone, I want you all back here at Life Through a Viewfinder next week, or else!"

Have a good week everyone!

Take care and God bless,

Pennsbury Manor and a Barn Party!

Hi everyone!
My eyelids are heavy and the bed is calling, so I'll make this short and sweet. :-)

The Life Through a Viewfinder team is a little short staffed this week because Josiah, my right hand (and left hand for that matter) man is away on a trip for the weekend. So I guess you'll have to bear with me here as I carry on alone.

Part of the pictures this week are from a recent trip I took to Pennsbury Manor which is the country home of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. The rest of the pictures are from a fall barn party a family in our church hosted recently. What a fun night that was!

If you've been visiting this blog and haven't left a comment yet, I hope you will leave one. While we know a fair amount of people visit this blog, it's always nice hear from you all once in a while. But of course, if you want to keep remaining anonymous, that's OK. :-)

On to the pictures...
Pennsbury Manor ~ a.k.a My Future Dream Home ;-)

Well, if it isn't William Penn himself!

What is it about fences that make you want to photograph them? You tell me and then we'll both know.

Cute girl eating chocolate. :-)

It's almost scary how good he is getting at posing for the camera. So young....

Big Brother, slightly smaller Big Sister, and Little Brother.
The day we visited Pennsbury Manor was the day they were having their ribbon cutting ceremony for their new visitor center. Also, they had a naturalization ceremony for a group of people from 15 different countries who were become citizens of the USA. I had never been to a naturalization ceremony before and found it very interesting. Have you ever been to naturalization ceremony?

Sweethearts. :-)

Focusing on the goal...

My favorite brother-in-law! ;-)
The guys pose in... well, just a typical guy fashion. :-)

Garden Girl

"Hey Uncle Ben, look at this neat little door way. You just pull the rope and, whoosh... it slides open!"

Shhh... Don't interrupt. A serious stare down is in progress. Yes, there will only be one winner.
History Lesson

"Wow, I've learned so much today! I better write down the important facts so I don't forget them. Now if I can just remember where I put my pen... ...."

"Ah, here it is..." *scratch* *scratch*
The big teacher and the little student.

And you thought we had weird hair styles today....
